About

Suat Can is a multi-genre music composer and producer for Video Games, Film and Animation, focused on finding the most precise audio equivalent of visual storytelling. Crafting adaptive soundtracks for RPG’s, indie games, film and narrative-driven projects.

He began his career as a live musician, performing guitar and vocals in rock, blues and electronic bands in 2008. During this period, he also started writing orchestral arrangements alongside his songs, which led him to explore the structural and emotional differences between genres. This approach naturally expanded into recording, mixing, and mastering, forming the foundation of his production expertise.

His background in music theory and production led him to work closely with artists and releases under Ellipsis, where he gained hands-on experience in label operations, production management, and industry workflows. Building on this experience, Suat later founded his own independent label, Nevermore Records, allowing him to fully control both creative direction and production standards. Through Nevermore Records, he collaborates internationally via The Orchard for music distribution, combining independent artistry with a global, industry-level infrastructure.

In 2021, Suat composed his first video game soundtrack for Manamon, a project that holds special significance as an accessible game for visually impaired players. Since then, he has continued composing for various projects, regularly releasing licensable soundtrack albums for games, films, and media. Alongside his work as a composer and producer, Suat is also active as a voice actor for video games and releases music under his solo EDM project, Cloverleaf.

Suat approaches composition as a process of discovery rather than invention. His focus is not on placing music over visuals, but on understanding the emotional logic already present within them.

Every project carries an internal rhythm. A pace, a tension, a silence that defines how it wants to breathe. Suat listens for this rhythm and builds music that aligns with it, shaping sound around narrative intent instead of forcing emotion onto the audience. The aim is clarity rather than exaggeration.

He is drawn to moments where music can express what images and dialogue cannot. The hesitation beneath an action, the weight of an unspoken choice, the atmosphere that remains after a moment has passed. Effective music, in his view, often works just below conscious attention, felt before it is noticed.

Across all projects, his goal is to create music that feels inevitable. Sound that belongs so naturally to the world it accompanies that its absence would immediately be felt. He values collaboration, intention, and trust in the storytelling process, approaching each project with care and respect for the creative vision behind it.
